Available Dogs

 

Available Dogs for Adoption

We visit the local SPCA on an ongoing basis and select dogs that are scheduled for euthanasia, but would make a wonderful pet. All of our dogs are current on their shots and have been neutered.

To fill out an application for one of our dogs, please go to the Adoption Policies page.

Adoption fees are $150 - 200, which pays for spay/neuter, mirochip and up-to-date vaccinations. We accept cash and checks only.

Paws for Life is located on private property, and is a completely volunteer-run facility, so appointments must be made in order to meet our dogs or see our facilities.
If you cannot keep an appointment for any reason, please let us know. We are volunteers and work our schedules with our families and jobs around the appointments you make with us.

Shadow

Rescued with a donation as a Christmas gift for Howell & Margo Wallace From Bruce & Lee

Shadow is a1 1/2 year old male lab mix. He is used to living with kids but needs to be the only animal in a home. He is very loving and loyal and knows basic commands

Nick

Rescued with a donation from Caiden Webb

Nick is a 1 1/2 yr old male Lab mix.  He is good with kids, other dogs and cats. Nick has cool wiry hair.   He needs a little confidence but comes around quickly.

Duke

Rescued with a donation from Tammy Misener & Dawn Latimer as a Christmas gift to each other

Duke is a 3 year old blue tick coon hound.  He is good with kids, other dogs and cats. Duke is used to living in a home and is housebroken.

Saint

Rescued with a donation in memory of Penny

Saint is a 1 1/2 yr old male lab mix.  He is good with kids, other dogs and cats. Saint is a sweet boy that needs a little TLC to show him there are good owners out there.

Bella

Rescued with a donation in memory of Dexter & Miles

Bella is a 2 year old Husky.  She is good with kids, other dogs and cats. Bella is used to living in a home and is housebroken. She loves her toys and long walks.

Bella is being treated for heartworm and will be available mid-January.

Holly

Rescued with a donation from the employees at Belfint, Lyons & Shuman

Holly is a 5 month old female Boxer mix, She good with kids, other dogs and cats. Holly is very smart and loyal.

Sandy

Rescued with a donation from Lise Lavender - in honor of Blue

Sandy is a 5yr old Shepherd Lab mix female. Her owner could no longer care for her because of their illness . Sandy is used to living in a home, good in the car and is a sweet low key girl.

Baby Girl

Rescued with a donation from Jeenie, Steve & Pogo - in honor of Pipa

Baby girl is a 5 year old female JRT. She is good with kids and other dogs. She is super sweet and LOVES to sit in your lap. She is used to living in a home. Her owner had to give her up because of health issues.

Indy

Rescued with a donation from T.J & Debbie Healy - in honor of Nick & Lexi

Indy is a 4 year old male JRT mix. He is good with kids and other dogs. Loves to ride in the car and play with his toys. Indy is used to living in a home. His owner had to give him up because of health issues.

Scout

Rescued with a donation in memory of Ellie - a PFL Alumni

Scout is a 3 year old male Australian shepherd Lab mix. He is good with kids and other dogs. Scout is good in the car and has a very sweet personality.

Layla

Layla a 6 yr old female JRT mix good with kids and other dogs. Layla and Jax lived together in a home. Loves to take walks and ride in the car.

Jax

Jax is a 6 yr old male JRT mix good with kids and other dogs. Jax and Layla lived together in a home. He loves walks and great riding in the car

Spud

Spud is a 2 yr old cattle dog mix that is good with kids and other dogs. This boy LOVES his toys and has a ton of personality. He weighs about 40 pounds.

Checkers

Rescued with a donation from Gisella in honor of Max Maestretti. Happy Birthday!

Checkers is a Boston terrier mix male good with Kids and other dogs. He is a happy go lucky boy who loves to play with everyone.

Spidey

Spidey is a 1 year old male Beagle.  He is good with kids and other dogs. Spidey loves his toys and to go for walks.

Chester

Chester is a 4 year old male lab.  He is good with kids and other dogs. Chester is a big beautiful dog that loves to play and be with people.

Hershey

Hersey is a 6 month old Lab mix. He is good with kids and other dogs. Hershey will need a family that will give him lots of exercise and training to get him through his puppy stage. He is smart and wants to learn
