We're on our way!

On Sunday, May 18th with many Paws for Life adoptees, their families, and our friends and supporters watching, Ginny turned over the first shovel of dirt for the new kennel. Keep checking back for updates and follow our progress. We are excited to see a 10 year dream become reality, and are very grateful for all of your support.

Strumpit
had a broken leg that had not healed properly........
Becca
was heartworm positive........ Precious
and Sammy
were considered too old........ Because he was scared in the
noisy shelter, Lucas
was deemed too shy....... Dahlia
was young, healthy, and sweet but the shelter was out of room.......
All of these wonderful dogs were scheduled to be put to sleep
until Paws for Life stepped in. After giving them the care
and love they needed, they all found loving forever homes.
Our new kennel will allow us to save many more deserving dogs............won't
you help?

Paws for Life (PFL) is at an exciting but critical time in
its history. The existing kennel predates PFL’s establishment,
and is so old that it is no longer viable. It has been patched
and repaired as much as possible, but in the best interest
of the dogs, and the volunteers who take care of them, we
need to build a new kennel.
In order to do this, we need your help! PFL must raise at
least $250,000.00 for the design, permit and site work; the
building and connector link; interior fit-out and furnishings;
gravel driveway and parking lot; and contingencies. While
our annual fundraising efforts do cover our ongoing operating
costs, they do not generate the kind of capital needed to
build a new facility.
The new facility will contain over twice the kennel space
we currently have, allowing us to better meet the demand for
our work in the region. It will also contain a quarantine
area, bathing area and a much needed office space, as we face
the inevitable paperwork associated with any organization.
While we are building this new kennel, PFL will continue
its mission of caring for and adopting out rescue dogs. It
will be paying for the shots and neutering of the new arrivals
as well as the feeding and placement of every dog we save.
Some dogs are in and out in a matter of days; some may take
weeks to overcome their shyness or fear of being abused. They
all need your help.
Paws for Life, Inc. was established on January 14, 1998.
We are hoping that by our 10th anniversary our rescued dogs
will be ready to be moved into new the new facility. PFL has
adopted and placed over 650 dogs. These animals were all on
death row, but they have all been saved, because of people
like you! Paws For Life, Inc. is a 501 C 3 tax-exempt organization.
Contributions are fully tax deductible.
Please give as generously as you can to build this kennel,
which will mean so much to the dogs we rescue from Delaware,
Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.

We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our
boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still
don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate
a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please
