Update December 2012:

Hi Ginny,

I can not even begin to tell you how WONDERFUL these two dogs are.  We are SOoooo happy with these two gentle giants.  They just completely fit right into the household and have brought us so much laughter and joy.  They and are two cats are getting along like one big happy family.

Chase and Teddy love to play together and most of the time they are playing and wrestling around right under our feet.  They are both so loving and well behaved and come immediately when called, it is just so hard for me to understand how somebody could have given them up.  They are absolutely awesome with my 2 1/2 yr old grand daughter, always very cautious around her, but they love waking her up in the morning with kisses.

We are looking forward to the summer months, playing with them in our inground pool.  The first day we got them home, we immediatley took them out back, and the first thing both of them did was to jump on top of our pool cover which had about 6 inches of water on it in the center and began playing.  We were like "OMG...get off, get off, get off."  Since then, they know now to "walk around the pool" and not though the pool cover...LOL.  But bottom line is, I think they are going to love the pool.

Update August 2013:

When we came to you in December, we gained two of the best family members we could have I ever asked for. They were not only dogs to us but  companions that quickly became part of the family.
They have enjoyed many family outings,  have been spoiled rotten, chewed many toys, gotten many chicken dinners, they love the pool and are true labs. They never like being separated even at the groomers (Teddy once jumped the counter trying to follow the girl taking Chase to the back it was the funniest thing).
Back in February Chase was diagnosed with cancer and unfortunately met his maker tonight August 1st.  With heavy hearts we said goodbye to a person that entered our lives when we needed him most. We thank you for allowing us to meet and share our lives with these dogs you hold special. We will keep in touch. Teddy is doing well, but is missing his brother Chase and still waiting for him to come home.  We will make certain that he is still taken care of and hopefully he will not miss chase too much.
Hope all is well with you and all the other dogs and your wonderful rescue. Thank you for all the work you do.

Update January 2015:

It's been a little over 2 years now that we adopted our angel Molly( then Amaretto) from you. She has truly been the biggest blessing in our life so far. However on May 15, Adam and I will be getting married. When we thought about favors for the wedding it wasn't something that we thought was worth the money. After we really sat down and talked about it, we believed that making a donation to a place that met something to both of us was more our style. After talking about a few places and charity's none of them had a place in our heart like Paws for Life! You help us create a family and we can't thank you enough for helping us find our perfect match! Adam and I would like to make a donation to you in honor of us, our wedding guests, and our dear Molly. Had you not save her she wouldn't be in our life today. So we can't thank you enough!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for all you do and for changing our life's and Molly's.

Bongo was adopted!

Update January 2012:

Hi Ginny!

Everybody absolutely LOVES me! My name is Cody now, instead of Bongo. I love tennis balls, playing tug-of-war, and playing with my kong toy (filled with peanut butter and a treat, of course). I love to play in the snow, but I can only play on the leash. I can't wait until spring or summer, when we will get an invisible fence, so I can play frisbee and fetch. I am very energetic, but by the end of the day, I love to curl up on the couch by the fireplace to warm up and take a nap.

6 things that my family loves about me:
1. I love to cuddle up on my "sister" Ashleigh's bed 2. I like to play with my toys with my family 3. I take my treats nicely 4. I like to play with other dogs 5. I am a gentle giant (I weigh 90 pounds!) 6. I am clumsy and I fall over a lot

Thank you for letting me come home with my nice new family!
From,
Cody and the Nagy family

Update May 2013:

Just a short update about me! I'm Cody! (formerly Bongo.) I am doing great! I'm improving with staying outside of my crate when my family isn't at home for short amounts of time. I can't wait for the invisible fence to be installed this month! I am still super energetic. I learned that I don't like the sprinkler in our yard. I'm doing well in my training classes. The trainer taught me to crawl through a tube and jump through a hoop.

Thanks!
Cody and the Nagy's

Update December 2014:

Hi Ginny,
It's been 2 years since we brought Cody (formerly Bongo) to his forever home, and just about one year since Gus (formerly Drake) came to stay! Just wanted to thank you again and give you some new pics of the 2 of them.
They're doing great, they love to play together and love to run around the yard like lunatics :)
The first pic is Gus, the second is Cody lying in the sun, and the third is them loving on each other this Thanksgiving.

We can't thank you enough for bringing these guys into our lives! Keep up the good work!
