Lydia was adopted!
Update October 2013:
Hi Ginny,
I'm sending some photos of Rosie (formally Lydia)!!! She is a big sweetheart who just wants love... All the time! She is such a good girl.
Penny, our other rescue Golden doesn't love her (yet), but is getting a little less jealous slowly. Rosie really wants her to play, but Penny isn't ready... Yet... She walks nicely with Penny on walks, loves prancing around our back yard, and loves chewing on bones. She loves treats too! But, is actually a bit nervous by squeakers on Penny's stuffed toys... Lol! We love her very much!
Take care,
Stacie, Kurt, Emma, Anna, Penny, and Rosie Handley

Sabrina was adopted!
Update October 2013:
Hi,
Just wanted to give you an update on Daisy (Sabrina). She has been to the vet and we had her treated for hookworms and she is now on heartworm preventative. Vet says all else looks good. She is still shy with me and strangers, but has bonded strongly with my husband. She was even sitting on his lap yesterday! She also jumped on the bed today.
Baby steps but definite improvements. She enjoys playing with her best friend Rudy the Yorkie, but has also started playing with one of my cats Mikey. I am glad that she is in our home and I think that God sent her to us because she is special and he knows that we had the time to devote to her.
As soon as she lets me catch a good photo of her I will send it with an update for the website.
Take care and keep saving those wonderful animals.

Lea was adopted!
Update October 2013:
Dear Ginny,
This lab is working out fine so far! Did her pee pee in her crate the first night but has not had any accidents since, in the house or crate.
She is very eager to please and brings us anything not nailed down!
She discovered Max's toy box early on and is helping herself.
Max is still not sure of her and has told her off a few times for coming over too far on the back seat of the car.
We got her a seat belt the night we picked her up as she is VERY anxious to be in the front seat.
She is tolerated her belt very well.
As any lab, we are watching carefully with what she decides to chew up. But the first day was very funny, she made a nest for herself in one of our dog beds and then tried to fit in!
So far we just love her!
