Bear was adopted!
Update August 2007:
Hello Ginny,
Bear (now Turk) is adjusting to life with us. He
is a happy and gentle pup. This week sees him starting
to relax and showing himself to be a very playful
puppy, not to mention an avid retriever! Turk gets
along well with all the boys and is particularly gentle
with our 19 month old. He is hesitant about walking
on the sidewalk with loud traffic, has conquered his
fear of our long stretch of stairs to the second floor
and is intrigued by motorcycles. Turk is such a wonderful
and loving dog; we cannot believe someone would give
him up. And we are very fortunate that you take on
this important work. You really make a difference
in the lives of animals and families in need.
I will continue to send more pictures.

Honey was adopted!
Update January 2009:
Just wanted to give you a yearly update on Honey Bear! It's been a little over a year since Honey came into our family. She is the best dog ever.
My husband went to Iraq and we were all a little sad so we got each other another German Shepherd. Honey took her in as one of her own and they love to play at the dog park and go for car rides together!
Honey is the standard for when we get another rescue dog! We wanted to thank you so much for letting her into our family and lives!
Liz, Darin, Honey, and Cloie
Update July 2007:
Ginny,
I just wanted to thank you so much for letting me
take Honey into my home. She was giving me kisses
the whole way home. All she wants to do it play and
go for car rides. Her first official day home we got
up early at 8am and we took her to the pet store and
got her a couple more toys. Then she went swimming
and played in the lake at the dog park with the other
dogs. She hasn't snapped at the leash once. Everyone
loves her. She has gotten a pretty pink leash and
collar and is the apple in my eyes. I'll be sure to
send some pictures of her playing in the park.
Liz
Update:
Ginny,
It's been a week. Honey loves car rides and never
leaves my side. We got over our fear of steps. We
go to the dog park everyday and she is swimming even
farther out now. here are some new pictures of her.

Update: August 2007:
We love Shiloh! She's settled right into our lives! Her smile is hysterical! She enjoys living near a pond and smelling all different things outside. Shiloh has overtaken the couch so many nights, I just naturally sit on the floor now! Thank you for all your organization does!
Sincerely, Kathy and Erin Denny |

Abby was adopted!
Update July 2007:
Just wanted to drop you guys an update on Abby and
ask a question as well.
So far shes doing great, she is perfect in the house
and outside. The only issue I have to work on is that
sometimes she will run off when not on the leash in
a neighborhood setting...she seems fine in the woods
and on the farm. She has her first vet appointment
wednesday at New London Veterinary Center. My question
is, did she eat alot when you guys had her? She seems
to be maintaining weight well and is healthy, but
she only eats about half of what I'd expect her to
eat. I feed her Premium Edge adult dog. Thanks in
advance for any info you guys have on that.
Joe
p.s. I call her Dusty now, but I think she responds
to both.
