Available Dogs for Adoption

We visit the local SPCA on an ongoing basis and select dogs that are scheduled for euthanasia, but would make a wonderful pet. All of our dogs are current on their shots and have been neutered.

To fill out an application for one of our dogs, please go to the Adoption Policies page.

Adoption fees are $150 - 200, which pays for spay/neuter, mirochip and up-to-date vaccinations. We accept cash and checks only.

Paws for Life is located on private property, and is a completely volunteer-run facility, so appointments must be made in order to meet our dogs or see our facilities.
If you cannot keep an appointment for any reason, please let us know. We are volunteers and work our schedules with our families and jobs around the appointments you make with us.

Jet

Jet is a 1 year old male German Short hair Pointer weighing 46lbs.
Jet is good with other dogs, cats and children. He is fully housebroken and even rings a bell at the door when its time to go out! Jet would benefit from an active household to exert not only physical exercise, but metal stimulation as well! He is very affectionate, but is also very independent. Jet is a very intelligent guy who is a fast learner and wants to be with you!

Appointments must be made in order to meet our dogs or see our facilities.

Nova

Nova is a 6 year old male beagle mix weighing about 30lbs. Nova is good with other dogs and cats. Nova has the sweetest disposition and will follow you around like a little duckling. He always wants to be loved on and will sit for any treat! Nova does have a mild case of resource guarding with his bed and bones. He has never shown any type of resource guarding when it comes to giving and taking his meals from him. We have had Nova with multiple different energy dogs and people and have never found anyone or anything that he doesn't like. With this being said, we do not recommend him being in a home with children

Appointments must be made in order to meet our dogs or see our facilities.

Charlie

Charlie is a 3 year old male hound mix weighing about 50lbs. First off, look at that tail! The way it curls makes us laugh every time we see it, it truly adds to his personality! Charlie can be a bit timid with new people but comes right out of his shell once he gets to know you! He is good with other dogs, cats and older children! We could see Charlie fitting in anywhere!

Appointments must be made in order to meet our dogs or see our facilities.

Cash

Cash is a male 11 month old lab mix weighing about 40lbs. He is good with other dogs and children. Cash would do well with an active family to take him on hikes as he walks well on a leash. With Cash still being young, exercise is very important with him.

Austin

Austin is a male 6 month old Jack Russel mix weighing 27lbs. Austin is a super friendly guy who is good with other dogs, cats and children! Gizmo

Gizmo is a male 6 month old Pekingese weighing about 10lbs. Gizmo is good with other dogs and cats, but would do better in a home with no small children. He is used to living in a home and is crate trained as well. Gizmo would benefit from a family to take him to some obedience training to learn some manners and to show him who is boss. A young energetic guy with a ton of energy and affection to offer!
